A scar to prove a committed sin
A lost soul searching for its place
A tainted memory upon his face
Ruined in youth, scarred for life
Days consumed in an endless strife
Rage adding fuel to a waning flame
Explosion of a wildfire untame
Fiery passions set ablaze
Sunset eyes with a sorrowful gaze
Against the fire, fighting the heat
Failure in life, afraid of defeat
Sent away to grow up on his own
Enduring, suffering, standing alone
Foe of the world, friend to none
Living in hell 'til this war is done
The lurid details of his past
Haunting, daunting; the pain still lasts
His fervor burning with a faithful gleam
Unwavering eyes reflecting a dream
Hanging on at the end of his rope
Clinging to a thread of hope
A struggle between wrong and right
"Never give up without a fight."

So, I was on this weird creative high one morning, and I have about a forty-minute bus ride to school, so I decided to write a poem. I completed it in homeroom. In all, it took about two hours to write. It's the best piece I've come up with in a while, so I decided to post it.
